Staff is identifying the Carrollton Addition area for the 1996 project. The Feasibility Report will investigate the proposed improvements, estimated cost, proposed assessments, and benefitting properties for the project. The City's policy which was identified last year was to assess 35% of the cost of such an overlay. Last years project was in the Motz Additions area and the entire project went very smoothly. No one objected to the final assessed costs, which were approximately $140 per single family home. The remainder of the costs will come from the Operating Budget for repair of "Paved Streets", which ws the procedure last year. Following the Chapter 429 process, Staff will bring back to the City Council a Feasibility Report and then hold a Public Hearing for the Project. The Public Hearing will be set after the Feasibility Report is completed, but is tentatively scheduled for May 21st. At that time Council can then order the project and the project would be completed in July. RECOMMENDED ACTION: MOTION TO ADOPT A RESOLUTION ORDERING A FEASIBILITY REPORT FOR THE 1996 BITUMINOUS OVERLAY IMPROVEMENTS, CITY PROJECT #274. COUNCIL ACTION: 3 • CITY OF ROSEMOUNT DAKOTA COUNTY, MINNESOTA RESOLUTION 1996 - A RESOLUTION ORDERING A FEASIBILITY REPORT FOR THE 1996 BITUMINOUS OVERLAY IMPROVEMENTS CITY PROJECT #274 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rosemount deems it necessary to investigate the feasibility of the 1996 Bituminous Overlay Improvements, City Project #274. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the City Engineer is directed to have the necessary feasibility report prepared for the 1996 Bituminous Overlay Improvements, City Project #274.
