COUNCIL ACTION: March 26, 1996 Dear Chief Aker and the Rosemount Fire Department, I plan to retire from the Rosemount Fire Department effective April 1, 1996. I have had many good times and got to know many new people. I will miss the camaraderie probably the most. My family and I have decided to move on to a new section of our life. We are planning to buy a house outside of the city of Rosemount in order to distance my family from the hassles of my profession. My children have harassed on their way to school. My wife and I have had obscenities yelled at us while sitting in my backyard. My family and I see no advantage to raising a family in Rosemount while I am employed as a police officer in this community. I know I won't miss the pager going off at 3:00am, but I will miss all of you. I know I will still see all of you while at work and that makes it a little more bearable. Good luck in your new fire station. Thanks for the good times. Si e r n rely Burkhalter
