This item will be a presentation of the plans and completed construction documents that have been prepared
by Vetter Johnson Architects. The presentation will be by Mark Vetter and myself. Mark will briefly go
over blueprints, outside elevations, and have on display for council review some color and material samples
for some of the products that will be used in the building.
The timeline that has been set-up in conjunction with our construction manager, Todd Christopherson of
AMCON, will be as follows:
April 19 - Print final documents
April 22 - Go out for bids
May 14 - Receive bids
May 21 - Bring bids back to city council for approval
The original project timeline indicated construction would start in early June and estimated time of
completion was to be November 1, 1996. To date Mark Vetter has kept the project right on schedule.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: No council action necessary.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that sealed proposals will be received at the City Clerk's
Office in the City of Rosemount, Dakota County, Minnesota, at the Rosemount City Hall, 2875
145th Street West, Rosemount, Minnesota 55068, until 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, the 14th day of
May, 1996; and will be publicly opened at said time and place by two or more designated officers
or agents of the City of Rosemount. Said proposal to be for the construction of a new
Rosemount Fire Station.
Proposals arriving after the designated time will be returned unopened.
The bids must be submitted on the proposal forms provided in accordance with contract
documents, plans and specifications as prepared by AMCON Construction Management, LLC,
200 West Highway 13, Burnsville, MN 55337; phone 612-890-1217, FAX 612-890-0064 , which
are on file with the City Clerk of Rosemount.

The bidder may obtain copies from Albinson's, 300 1st Ave. N., Minneapolis, MN 55401, call
342-9275.
No bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Clerk of Rosemount and
accompanied by a cashier's check, bid bond or certified check, payable to the City Clerk of
Rosemount for five percent (5%) of the amount bid to be forfeited as liquidated damages in the
event the bid be accepted and the bidder should fail to enter promptly into a written contract and

The City of Rosemount reserves the right to reject any and all bids. No bids may be withdrawn
for a period of sixty (60) days from the date of opening bids.
