This public hearing was originally intended to be conducted this evening. The public hearing notice was
inadvertently not published. As a result,the notice will be published for August 15, 1995. Because the
notice is for an ordinance amendment no mailings are required.
This text amendment is being presented as a result of recent residential development occumng along
highways and the perception that the required minimum setbacks aze insufficient to mitigate the noise and
visual impacts.
� On July 11, 1995 the Planning Commission discussed the amendment for the second time and felt that it was
T ready for Council review. The Planning Commission recommended approval of the text amendment with
some minor revisions.

Recommended Action: A MOTION to set a public hearing to hear testimony regazding the proposed '
zoning text amendment for August 15, 1995 at 8c00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as possible.
