The Selection Committee for the hiring of Community Resource Coordinator
has completed a thorough selection process. After interviewing nine
candidates, the Selection Committee chose an individual based upon this
person's exceptional overall qualifications. The person selected for this
position will be considered an independent contractor. Attorney Mary
Dobbins of Holmes and Graven is currently drafting the contract which will
be reviewed with the candidate on Monday, March 6 . A final contract will
be given to the City Council prior to the meeting.
This position is funded by a two-year Crime Reduction Grant. Highlights of
the contract will include:
• The contract ends on December 31, 1996.
• There are no benefits included.
• There is a termination clause, providing the City the opportunity
to terminate the contract for just cause.
• The contract is subject to a successful criminal background
check, proof of auto insurance, and proof of liability insurance
(minimum $500, 000) .
• The City attorney has reviewed the attached contract.
