This is a request for Council to consider approving a three percent annual adjustment to the salary ranges of non-
union employees for the year 1996. The current non-union positions are as follows: city administrator, public
works director, police chief, finance director, community development director, parks&recreation/community
center director, police lieutenant, administrative assistant, streets&grounds supervisor, utility&building
supervisor, civil engineer, senior planner, chief building official, police sergeant, arena manager, administration
secretary and personneUeconomic development secretary. The City Council has already approved a three
percent increase for employees in the city's three unions. This proposed amount is included in the 1996
operating budget. Employees will only receive this proposed increase if they receive aperformance evaluation
rating of satisfactory or better. Employee performance evaluations will be completed and conducted with the
employee before this proposed increase would go into effect.
RECOMMENDED ACITON: MOTION TO APPROVE A THREE PERCENT ANNiJAL
ADNSTMENT TO NON-LTNION EMPLOYEES' SALARY RANGES FOR THE YEAR 1996
