Since the 1996 Budget has been certified to the County and it included Ca ital Improvement
Project money for the reconstruction of Cameo Avenue and Lower 147th Street, Staff feels that
it is time to begin the Feasibility Report process so that construction can begin as earty as
possible next spring. I am recommending that Staff prepare the Feasibitity Report for the
project. We will however hire a consultant to prepare the plans and provide both preliminary
and construction surveying for the project.

Previously, Staff had completed a Feasibility Report for a proposed Storm Drain Facitity
Improvement Project from Lower 147th Street and Cameo draining all the way to Erickson Pond
adjacent�to City Hall. This was the Erickson 190 Drainage District Improvements, City Project
#266. I'm recommending that the entire project include that pceviously studied project, but also
include the street improvements to Cameo, Burma and Lower '147th' Street. This will be a very
large project due to project cost and the number of residents effiected. We again will have the
downtown area torn up for construction for another construction season. We will be crossing
Trunk Highway 3 with a large pipe and may have to open cut tha.t roadway. However, I believe
this closure of Trunk Highway 3 will be minimaL

A RESOWTION ORDERING A FEASIBILITY REPORT FOR
1996 STREET AND UTILITY RECONSTRUCTION 1MPROVEMENT PROJECT
CAMEO AVENUE, LOWER 147TH STREET AND BURMA AVENUE
CITY PROJECT #266
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rosemount deems it necessary to investigate
the feasibility of the 1996 Street and Utility Reconstruction Improvement Project on
Cameo Avenue, Lower 147th Street and Burma Avenue, City Project #266.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the City Engineer is directed to have the necessary
feasibility report prepared for the 1996 Street and Utility Reconstruction Improvement Project
on Cameo Avenue, Lower 147th Street and Burma Avenue, City Project #266.
ADOPTED this 17th day of October, 1995.
