The fire department held its elections for the positions of Assistant Fire
Chief and Secretary of the Rosemount Fire Department on February 28, 1995 .
The persons who were elected to these two positions are:
Mike Reis, Assistant Fire Chief - One year term
Dan Corrigan, Secretary - One year term
Prior to being allowed on the ballot each applicant, according to city
policy, must receive approval from a screening committee. That committee
is headed and organized by the city administrator with the fire chief,
chief of police and two fire department representatives as members . This
committee did not convene to screen applicants this year, because only the
incumbents were running.
If the city council would concur with the results of the fire department
election, we would look to them to ratify these two persons for their
respective positions.
RECOI�NDED ACTION: Motion to approve Mike Reis as Rosemount' s
Assistant Fire Chief and Dan Corrigan as the Secretary for the
Rosemount Fire Department, for the terms listed.
