We regret to inform you that Mr. Douglas Stauffer, who has been employed as a Public
Works Maintenance Employee for the City since 1990, has resigned effective on October
11, 1995. Doug has accepted a position as a supervisor with the Maintenance
Department in the City of Dodge Center, Minnesota.
Staff is recommending that Council receive the resignation and authorize the posting and
advertisement for a Public Works Maintenance Employee position. Staff will then proceed
with the application review and interview process and return to the City Councii in
November with a recommendation to hire.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: MOTION TO RECEIVE RESIGNATION AND AUTHORIZE THE
POSTING AND ADVERTISEMENT FOR A PUBLIC WORKS MAINTENANCE EMPLOYEE.

The following is the undersigned's letter of resignation from the City of
Rosemount. I have been offered and accepted a supervisory positian with the City of
Dodge Cerner. My last date of employmern with the City of Rosemount will be
Wednesday, October 11, 1995.
I have enjoyed the past five years with the City of Rosemoum. My position in the
public works department has been cha.11enging and rewarding. I would like to thank you
for the knowledge and support tha.t I have received from the City. Without that
l�owledge and support I would not ha.ve had the opportunity to advance in the public
works field.
