Change Order #1 is an addition in the amount of approximately 523,000 to the contract for the extension of storm sewer from the 145th Street storm sewer to the HRA parking lot. This was at the request of the Dakota County HRA.to improve the drainage conditions in the parking lo�t. HRA did agree to pay for these improvements. Change Order #2 is a request by the contractor to add 35 working days to the contract time. This is more or less a formality due to the fact that the City could not acquire the _ needed right-of-ways on the CMC properties south of 145th Street which would have allowed the contractor to begin work earlier on that location. ln actuality the contractor � is ahead of schedule for the project at this time, so this Change Order is more or less a formality. The total estimated cost is 529,900. There is no guarantee that this is going to alteviate a1t of yaur parking {ot panding cancerns. However, it should improve the drainage from the parking lot. This amount would be totatly the responsibility of the HRA and wouEd be assessed in addition to the existing pending amaunts. Accorcfing to our City Attomey, we wiil need to process a written agreement signed by the Dakota Cotsnty HRA and the City Councit to approve this Change Ordet. However, if ya� want to proceed� piease respond in writing to myself as soo� as possible. This improvement couid have been gart of a reconstruction project for 145th Street east of 6iscayne Avenue in the future and wouid have besn assessed to the HRA at that time. However with the current funding situatian at the Cit�, the proposed 145th Street tmprovemanxs east of Biscayne Avenue may not occur for a number of years.
