Bids were taken for the above referenced project on August 11, 1995 nd a total of eight
bids were received. The bid of Vi-Con Asphalt Company at 524,934.00 was the low
bidder. The Engineer's Estimate was 530,000.
Staff has checked the figures and qualification of the bidders and find that Vi-Con Asphalt
Company is the lowest responsible bidder.
Therefore, Staff recommends to City Council the award of the bid for the 1995
Bituminous Overlay and Appurtenant Work Improvements, City Project #268 be awarded
to Vi-Con Asphalt Company in the amount of 524,934.00. .
RECOMMENDED ACTION: MOTION TO ADOPT A RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND
AWARDING CONTRACTING FOR THE 1995 BITUMINOUS OVERLAY AND APPURTENANT
WORK IMPROVEMENTS, CITY PROJECT #268.

A RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT
FOR 1995 BITUMINOUS OVERLAY AND APPURTENANT WORK
IMPROVEMENTS
CITY PROJECT 268
BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Rosemount, Minnesota, as follows:
1. All bids on construction of 1995 Bituminous Overlay and Appurtenant Work
Improvements are hereby received and tabulated.
2. The bid of Vi -Con Asphalt Company in the amount of $24,934.00 for the
construction of said improvements in accordance with the plans and
specifications and advertisement for bids is the lowest responsible bid and shall
be and hereby is accepted.
3. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract
with said bidder for the construction of said improvements for and on behalf of
the City of Rosemount.
4. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all
bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposit of all
successful bidder and the next two lowest bidders shall be retained until a
contract has been executed.
ADOPTED this 15th day of August, 1995.
