Mr. Robert Solberg has requested the renewal of a mineral
extraction permit originally granted for the 1994 season. The
activity will occur on Solberg' s ten-acre site located on the
northeast corner af County State Aid Highway 42 and State Trunk ;
Highway 52 . The site is zoned General Industrial (IG? and mineral
extraction is an allowed use with a permit.
A public hearing is required for the renewal and the Plannin.g
Commission will review the request on May 23 , 1995 at their regular
meeting and provide a recommendation that will be forwarded to the
City Council at the public hearing.
Recommended Action: A MOTION to schedule a public hearing for
Tuesday, June 6, 1995 at 8 : 00 p.m. , or as soon thereafter as
possible, regarding the request from Solberg Aggregate for
renewal of their Mineral Extraction Permit for 1995 .

public hearing on Tuesday, June 6, 1995 in the Council Chambers of the City I3all, 2875
145th Street West, beginning at 8:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as possible. The Public
Hearing listed below pertains to property located at 3615 145th Street Ea.st and legally
described as follows:
A tract of land in the Southwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter (SW'/a of NW'/a}
of Section 30, Township 115, Range 18, Dakota Counry, Minnesota, described as
follows:
Commencing at a point on the South line of said Northwest Quarter (NW'/a),
700.53 feet east of the southwest corner thereof; thence north perpendicular to the
last described line, 50.0 feet to the actual point of beginning of the tand to be
described. Thence continuing north on the last described line, 832.25 feet; thence
west 646.79 feet to the easterly boundary of State Trunk Highway No. 56; thence
south 16 degrees, 31 minutes east along said highway boundary 868.07 feet; thence
east 400.0 feet to the point of beginning. Containing 10 acres.
The purpose of this hearing is to receive public comment in consideration of the request
for a 1995 renewal of a mineral extraction permit previously granted to Solberg Aggregate
in 1994, as required in Section 14.8 of Ordinance B - City of Rosemount Zoning
Ordinance.
Persons wishing to speak on this Mineral Extract Permit Renewal are invited to attend the
meeting on Tuesdax, Tune 6,, 1995 at 8:00 u•m• Written comments will also be accepted
prior to the meeting date. Please forward all comments and inquiries to the City of
Rosemount Planning Department.
