This item is a request for Council to authorize advertisement for bids for the Biscayne
Avenue Improvements, City Project #249. The Feasibility Report for tfiis project was
received by the City Council on July 19, 1994. The Public Hearing was held on August
2nd. Council approved the plans and specifications on September 6, 1994 but we did
not advertise for bids due to the fact that the development timetable for the OSM facility
changed.
Advertisement will be placed in the City's official newspaper and the Construction
Bulletin. Following the receipt and opening of bids, Staff will come back o Council for
acceptance of bids. A proposed bid opening date has been set for March� 1995 at
10:00 a.m. 3�.

RESOLUTION 1995 -
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ADVERTISEMENT OF BIDS
BISCAYNE AVENUE STREET AND UTILITY tMPROVEMENTS
CITY PROJECT #249
WHEREAS, the Consulting Engineers for the City have prepared final pians and
specifications for Biscayne Avenue Street and Utility Improvements, City Project #249,
and such plans and specifications were approved by this Council:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Rosemount,
Minnesota:
1 . The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official City newspaper and
the Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon the making of such
improvements under such approved plans and specifications for City Project #249.
2. The advertisement shall be published in each of said publications at least once not less
than three (3) weeks before the date set for opening bids, shall specify the work to
be done, shall state the bids will be publicly opened on March 7, 1995 at 10:00
o'clock a.m. at Rosemount City Hall in said City and that no bids will be considered
unless sealed and filed with the City Cferk and accompanied by a cash deposit,
cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the City Clerk for five (5%)
percent of the amount of such bid.
