At its Ma.rch 28, 1995 Regular Meeting the Planning Commission
reviewed the request for a 1995 Mineral Extraction Permit Renewal
submitted by Grace Kuznia and Otto Ped, property owners.
Bituminous Roadways, Inc. will serve as the pit operator for the
extraction operations. Upon review of the history of previous
mining activities and proposed conditions for the 1995 renewal the
Planning Commission recommended approval of the permit as well as
recommending that City Council schedule a public hearing to hear
testimony regarding this permit. Planning staff recommends this
hearing be held on April 18, 1995 .
Recommended Action: A MOTION to schedule a public hearing to
hear public testimony regarding the 1995 Mineral Extraction
Permit Renewal request from Grace Kuznia and Otto Ped for
Tuesday, April 18, 1995 at 5 :00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as
ossible.

MINERAL EXTRACTION PERMIT RENEWAL

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, the City Council of the City of Rosemount will hold a
public hearing on Tuesday, April 18, 1995 in the Council Chambers of the City Hall,
2875 145th Street West, beginning at 8:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as possible.
The purpose of this hearing is to receive public comment on the application received from
Bituminous Roadways, Inc. for renewal of a Mineral Extraction Permit.
As set forth in the conditions of the permit, mineral extraction activity is limited to a site
not to exceed 39 acres of the entire properry. The subject property was recently legally
divided into two equal parcels: These parcels are owned by Ms. Grace Kuznia and Otto
Ped and are generally described as the west 87'h acres of the Southeast quarter and the
east 75 acres of the Southwest Quarter of Section 29, Township 115, Ra:nge 18; subject to
highway easement over the north 50 feet and addressed as 4992 145th Street East.
Phasing of the mineral extraction project will ultimately include both parcels.
Persons wishing to comment on this issue are invited to attend and be heazd at the City
Council Public Hearing scheduled for'�'��ec a�� AnTrii 1$., 1995 at R_00 n_m. Formal
written comments will be accepted prior to the public hearing date. Please forward all
comments and inquiries to the Planning Division of the Community Development
Department.
