KNUTSEN, CHIEF OF POLICE �V� ## b � ATTACHMENTS: APPROVED BYs NONE In a memo dated October 26, 1994 the Mayor and Council were advised of our intentions to replace our current animal control program with a community service officer program. On November 2 , 1994 G's animal Control was advised that his contract would not be renewed for 1995 and that we would be implementing a C.S.O. program. We then advertised for the position of C.S.O. and received six (6) applicants. These applicants were all interviewed by Lt. Kuhns and myself. The applicant who scored highest overall was Todd Winters. Todd is a Rosemount Resident and graduate of Rosemount High School and Znver Iiills Community College were he recieved a A.A.S. in law enforcement. Todd has also attended the Law Enforcement Training Center Ski11s Course and is currently eligible to licensed as a police officer. Todd is very familar with the City of Rosemount and along with having a good understanding of law enforcement he is also currently a member in good standing with our police reserve unit. If approved Todd would begin his employment January 4, 1994, at a starting salary of $6. 50 per hour for approximately 25 hours per week. RECOMMENDED ACTION: MOTION TO APPROVE THE HIRING OF TODD WINTERS AS A COMMUNITY SERVICE OFFICER AT A STARTING SALARY OF $6.50 PER HOUR. COiJNCIL ACTION:
