This text amendment is being presented as a result of recent residential development occurring
along highways and the perception that the required minimum setbacks are insufficient to mitigate
the noise and visual impacts.
On July 11, 1995, the Planning Commission discussed the amendment for the second time and felt
that it was ready for Council review. The Planning Commission recommended approval of the text
amendment with some minor revisions.
Recommended Action: A MOTION to set a public hearing to hear testimony regarding the
proposed zoning text amendment for August 1, 1995 at 8:00 p.m. or as soon as possible
thereafter.

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCF.RN:
NOTTCE IS HEREBY GIVEN, the City Council of the City of Rosemount will hold a public
hearing to consider the item listed below on T�esday, August l, 1995, in the Council
Chambers of the City Hall, 2875 145th Street West, beginning at 8:00 p.m., or as soon
thereafter as possible.
The purpose of this hearing is to consider an amendment to Ordinance B the City of
Rosemount Zoning Ordinance. The amendment will require increased lot dimensions and
yard setback criteria for principal and minor arterial highways, collector streets, railroad
right-of-ways and easements for high power transmission and pipelines.
Those persons wishing to comment on this issue are invited to attend and be heard at the
T�esday, August 1, 1995 City Council Meeting at 8:00 p.m. Written comments will be
accepted prior to the meeting by the Planning Department. Questions regarding the proposed
amendment should be directed to the Planning Department at 322-2051.
