The American Legion national organization is having its 75th birthday
celebration on Ma.rch 15 - 17, 1994 and is recognizing its volunteers as
outstanding examples of commitment to their community.
The attached Proclamation honors this 75th Anniversary and also commends
and thanks the members of our Rosemount American Legion Post 65 for their
unlimited service and dedication to the community.
RECOHIl�lENDED ACTION: Proclaim March 15 - 17, 1994 the American Legion
75th Anniversary.

PROCLAMATiON
WHEREAS, The American Legion, the nation's largest veterans organi�ation, marks its
75th birthday March 15 - 17, 1994; and
WHER►EAS, the 3.1 million men and women of the American Legion continue to serve our
nation as volunteers in a variety of worthy efforts; and
- �VB[ER�AS, the citizens of Rosemount appreciate the many community projects undertaken
by the men and wamen of Rosemount Post 65; and
WHEREAS, this devoted service to our community and continues to benefit a diverse public
through such programs as American Legion Boys State, American Legion Baseball,
American Legion Scholarship Programs and many more specialized efforts; and
WHF.R.EAS, the volunteer spirit of the members of Rosemount Post 65 is fitting of .
recognition by all citizens of Rosemount. �
- NOW, THF1tEFORE, I, E. B. McMenomy, Mayor of Rosemount do hereby call upon all
citizens to observe March 15 - 17, 1994 as the 75th birthday of The American Legion,
and commend the volunteerism, community spirit, and dedicaxion of the men and women of
Rosemount Post 65 as outstanding examples of commitment to their community.
