I have been contacted by Brian Grogan of the law firm Moss & Barnett representing the
Cities of Lakeville, Farmington and Rosemount in the related matters for the transfer o#
cable assets from Star Cable to Marcus Cable Partners, L.P. He has informed me of the
necessity for each jurisdiction to establish and hold their own respective public hearing.
Previously it was understood by me that we could hold a joint hearing with the other two
cities. Not so.
The purpose of the hearing is to obtain information from the public regarding problems,
issues or concerns with their service and identify any reasons why or why not the
transfer should take place.
Mr. Grogan will be here to conduct the hearing.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: MOTION TO ESTABLISH A PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING THE
TRANSFER OF CABtE ASSETS FROM STAR CABLE TO MARCUS CABLE PARTNERS ON
MARCH 15, 1994 AT 8:00 P.M. OR AS SOON THEREAFTER AS POSSIBLE.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
PROPOSED TRANSFER OF CABLE TELEVISION SYSTEM
The City of Rosemount, Minnesota, will hoid a public hearing on Tuesday, March
15, 1994 at 8:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as possible, in the City Council
Chambers of the City Hall to consider issues regarding the proposed transfer of the
Cable Television Franchise and system from Star Cablevision Group to Marcus
Cable Partners, L.P. The City Hall is located at 2875 145th Street West,
Rosemount, Minnesota.
Any person may speak to the City concerning the proposed transfer at the time of
the public hearing. Any person may submit written comments by addressing those
comments to the City Clerk, Susan Walsh. Any person who wishes to speak at the
public hearing is requested to contact the City Clerk prior to the public hearing or
to sign up to speak at the public hearing on a list which will be available in the City
Council Chambers immediately prior to the hearing. The Gity Clerk's telephone
number is (612a 423-4411 .

On February 14, 1994, acting on behaif of the said City, I posted at the City Hall,
2875 145th Street West, and deposited in the United States Post Office of
Rosemount, Minnesota, copies of the attached notice of public hearing regarding
145th Street Improvements from Chili Avenue to Cameo Avenue, Project #245,
enclosed in sealed envelopes, with postage thereon fully prepaid, addressed to the
persons listed on the attached listings at the addresses listed with their names.
There is delivery service by United States Mail' between the place of mailing and
the places so addressed.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GNEN, that the City Councii of the City of Rosemount, Minnesota will meet
at 8:00 o'clock p.m. or as soon thereafter as possible, Wednesday, March 2, 1994 in the Councii
Chambers of the City Hall, 2875 145th Street West, to consider the following improvements:
Project #245 - 145th Street Improvements, Chili Avenue to Cameo Avenue
The nature of improvements shall include the construction of curb and gutter, street surfacing,
sanitary sewer, sanitary sewer services, watermain and wate� services, storm drain, sidewalk,
utility lines, street lights and restoration.
