On February 22, 1994 the Planning Commission added °Meeting Start
Time" to their agenda. After considerable discussion a motion was
passed setting the new start time for the Planning Commission to
5 : 15 p.m.
The Commission discussed other alternatives, including 5 :30 p.m.
and 6 :00 p.m. However, motions were unsuccessful. The general
consensus was that developers and consultants are the prima.ry
attendees of Planning Commission Meetings since most public
hearings are conducted by City Council. Variance public hearings
are conducted by the Planning Commission acting as the Board of
Appeals and Adjustments and those hearings could be set later on in
the agenda, as necessary.
