This item consists of a roval of lans and s ecifications for the

joint project of the Shannon Pond 3rd Addition and West Ridge 5th
Addition Street and Utility Improvements, City Project numbers 248 and
242 respectively.
The Feasibility Report was accepted by Council at the February 15,
1994 meeting and the public hearing held on March 15, 1994 . The next
step in the process is to approve the plans and specifications and
authorize Staff to advertise to receive bids for the project. A bid
ogening date has been set for May 13 , 1994 at 10 :30 a.m.
Advertisement will be placed in the City' s official newspaper and
Construction Bul�etin. Following the receipt and opening of bids,
Staff will come back to Council for acceptance of bids. Staff
recommends approval of plans and specs and authorization to advertise
for bids.

RESOLUTION 1994 -
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
AND AUTHORIZING ADVERTISEMENT OF BIDS
SHANNON PONDS 3RD ADDITION STREET AND UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS
CITY PROJECT #248 AND
WEST RIDGE 5TH ADDITION STREET AND UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS
CITY PROJECT #242
WHEREAS, the Consulting Engineers for the City have prepared final plans and
specifications for Shannon Ponds 3rd Addition Street and Utility Improvements,
Project#248, West Ridge 5th Addition Street and Utility Improvements, Project#242,
and such plans and specifications have been presented to this Council for approvaL
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Rosemount,
Minnesota:
1 . Such plans and specifications are hereby approved and ordered placed on file
in the office of the City Clerk.
2. The City CIerK shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official City
newspaper and in the Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon the
making of such improvements under such approved plans and specifications for �
City Project Numbers 248 and 242.
3. The advertisement shall be pubtished in each of said publications at least once
not less than three t3) weeks before the date set for opening bids, shall specify
the work to be done, shall state that bids will be publicly opened on May 13,
1994 at 10:30 o'clock a. m. at Rosemount City Hall in said City and that no
bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Glerk and
accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check
payable to the City Cterk for five (5%) percent of the amount of such bid.
