The Dakota Count,� Park Department wrote a grant proposal in 1993 that
dealt with upgrading their county bikeway system . r� part of that
upgrade deals with the installation of three kiask sites within tl�e
county .
One of the si�.es selected is in the City of Rosemount near the
intersection ot County Roaci �2 anct Chippen�ale Avenue . A more detail�d
identification of the loc�tivn would be at t1-�at intersection in an area
betwe�n the water tower and the present bik� trail .
The k.iosk will ser�✓e as an informational sit� -Far walkers , bikers ,
roll�rl�lader� , etc . . Infc�rmation avaiiabl� w�il deal with traii� ,
parks , r��t stops , and other general informati�n about �"�e city and th�
county .
G�=neral fe�ttUT-25 of the shelter will be : a park b�nch situat�� on a
concret� slab witl-� a canopy ro�t over it . �11s� in�lud�� ��ill be an
infc�rmational sign , a proposed water fountai.n , other bPnches and
landscaping .
1"he proposal as presented by the Dakota County Parks Department is for
them to pay for all construction costs with the City of Rosemount to
then pay far all future maintenance and upkeep of the site . This
m�:intenance arran�ement is similar to the contract that we ha�r� with
t.��� �..Gunt.y on ��i k� trails tnat are a �art of ti��� county bi k�way systcm .
�on wasmund an� Buc� Osmundson have been a part of th� staff dealing
with t1-�is prop�sal . Mike Miles has checked on the lease agreement far
tfi� a�jc�ining ar�a near the water tower and has approved this site as
far as the a�reement with NewVect,or is concerned .

RESOLIITION 1994-
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE CONSTRIICTION
OF AN INFORMATIONAL KIOSR
AT THE CHIPPENDALE WATER TOD�ER SITE
WHEREAS, plans for Project No. STP BIKE (002) showing the
proposed bike trail segment to be signed has been prepared for
the bike trail located on CSAH 42 from CSAH 33 (Diamond Path) to
CR 73 (Akron) , and
WHEREAS, construction plans for an Informational Kiosk on the
City property at CHIPPENDALE and CSAH 42 within the limits of
the City of Rosemount as a Federal Aid Project have been
prepared and presented to the City.
NOW,'` THEREFORE, SE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of Rosemount hereby approves the plans presented by the Dakota
County Parks Department.
ADOPTED this 15th day of March, 1994.
