On May 23, 1993, the City of Rosemount terminated it's cantract with
the Dakota County Sheriff's Office who had provided dispatch service
for our police and fire departments.
In October of 1992 , a decision was made to contract with the City of Eagan
to provide the dispatch service starting early in 1993 . Dakota Caunty
required a six month notice (as stated in the Dakota County contract) of
intent to terminate the agreement. Therefore, the city was required to pay
the higher cost of dispatching starting January 1, 1993 through May 23, 1993.
On February 4, 1994, an invoice from the Dakota County Sheriff's Office
in the amount of $12, 092.93 was received.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
MOTION TO APPROVE THE PAYMENT OF $I2,092.93 T0 THE DAKC.�TA COUNTY
SHERIFF'S OFFICE FOR PROVIDING POLICE AND FYRE DISPATCH SERVICE
DURING THE PERIOD OF JANUARY 1, 1993 TO MAY 23, 1993 .

the charqe for police dispatchinq services rendered by the County
Sheriff�s Department in 1993 was $12,092.93. This figure
reflects 4.74 months at $2,551.25 per month.
