On Wednesday, June 1, 1994 bids for the referenced project were received and read
aloud publicly. Three bids were received and are listed for your review on the attached
bid tabulation.
The low bid received is from B. H. Heselton in the amount of $647,006.00. The
Engineer's Estimate was 5702,027.70 based on 1993 and 1994 construction costs.
The firm of OSM & Associates, engineer for the project, and Staff recommend the award
of Project No. 245 to B.H. Heselton in the amount of 5647,006.00.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: MOTION TO ADOPT A RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND
AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR 145TH STREET RECONSTRUCTION, C1TY PROJECT #245,
S.A.P. 208-103-08.

� A RESOWTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT
FOR 145TH STREET IMPROVEMENTS - CHILI AVENUE TO
CAMEO AVENUE
CITY PROJECT 245
BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Rosemount, Minnesota, as follows:
1. All bids on construction of 145th Street Improvements-Chili Avenue to Camoe
Avenue are hereby received and tabulated.
2. The bid of B. H. Heselton in the amount of 5647,006.00 for the construction
of said improvements in accordance with the plans and specifications and
advertisement for bids is the lowest responsible bid and shall be and hereby is
accepted.
3. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract
with said bidder for the construction of said improvements for and on behalf of
the City of Rosemount.
4. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all
bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposit of all
successful bidder and the next two lowest bidders shall be retained until a
contract has been executed.
ADOPTED this 10th day of June, 1994.
