LETTIIt OF RESIGNATION a /_
I would like to take a few mi.nutes to present a plaque i.n appreciation
to one of Rosemounts generous volunteers.
On February 11, 1993 I received a letter of resignation from Steve Strese
as a Rosemount Police Reserve and part-time officer. Steve has served in
this volunteer organi.zation for almost 15 years, donating hundreds of hours
to our commuzity.
For many years Steve headed the Rosemount Reserve Unit and was responsible
for assigning reserve officers to parade routes, football games, school
dances, etc.
Steve has proven himself as a leader. His dedication wi11 be missed by the
Rosemount Police Department.

Lyle Knutsen, Police Chief
Rosemount Police Department
2875 - 145th Street West
Rosemount, MN 55068
Dear Chief Knutsen:
Lyle and Police Department staff: I feel I have not been able to fulfil
my obligations as a Police Reservist with the department. It has been
tougher and tougher every year to keep up with the fire department,
police department and the maintenance department. I have enjoyed
working in every department, but my body is telling me to slow down a
bit. With more responsibility and all the extra training being required
by the fire department, I cannot fulfil all my jobs to the best of my
ability.
With regret I hereby submit my resignation from the Rosemount Police
Department.
Respectfully,

Steve Strese
P.S. It's been a pleasure working with a11 of you and I will still
try•to help as much as I can.
