On February 19, 1993, bids were received for items on the Joint Powers
Agreement for Seal Coating, Sweeping & Striping. We are planning to
utilize the seal eoating, striping and sweeping items from this Joint
Powers Agreement, which will be funded from appropriated budget items.
Allied Blacktop Company, 10503 89th Ave. N. , Map1e Grove, NIl�T 55369,
is the low bidder for seal coating and street sweeping, while Denson
Striping, Inc. , 405 Lewis Ave. S. , Watertown, MN 55388, is the low
bidder for the traffic markings.
Staff recommends approval of the bids and award of the contract to the
appropriate low bidders.
RECOI+�IENDED ACTION: MOTION TO APPROVE BIDS AND AWAR.D THE CONT'RACT AS
SUPPLIED BY THE JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT FOR SEAL COATING AND STRIPING.

bidders that are high-lighted in yellow on the attached abstract.
At a later date, a copy ot the JPA will be mailed to each City when
all Cities have completed and returned it.
Award of bids is scheduled for the Burnsville Ci�y Council meeting
of March 1, 1993 . Per Joint Powers Agreement, would yau review the
bids that pertain to your City. If you concur with the attached
recommendation, please natify this office no later than February
26, 1993 .
In order to meet our agenda preparation deadline, we wauld
appreciate a phone call as soon as possible to be followed by a _
written confirmation later.
