Each year, , the City updates the mileage in its entire street system
and certifies this information to the Municipal State Aid District
Engineer. Through a formula, each City is allocated a certain number
of miles to designate as Municipal State Aid Streets which makes that
stre�t eligible for receiving MSA funds fo� construetion and
maintenance.
The past two years devel.opment within Rosemount has added
approximately 3 miles to our system, resulting in an additional 1.36
miles which can be added to our MSA system. We have submitted and
received preliminary approval to add an additional 0 .95 miles of
Connemara Trail east of Trunk Highway 3 to our system, as shown on the
attached map.
I will give a brief overview of the MSA designation at the Council
meeting.
Staff recommends adoption of the attaehed resalution.

WHEREAS, it appears to the City Couneil of the City of Rossrnount that
the streets hereinafter described should be designated as Municipal
State-Aid streets under the provisions of Minnesota Law.
NOW THEREFORE B8 IT RESOLVED, by the City Cauncil of the City of
Rosemount that the roadways described as follows, to wit:
Connemara Trail from Truak Highway 3 to Bacardi Aveaue
be, and hereby are established, located and designated Municipal State-
Aid streets of said City subject to the approval of the Commissioner of
Transportation of the State of Minnesota.
BE IT FUR.THER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk is hereby au�horized and
directed to forward two certified copies of this resolution to the
Commissioner of Transportation for his consideration, and that upon his
approval of the designation of said streets or portions thereof, that
same be construc�ed, improved and maintained as Municipal State-Aid
streets of the City of Rosemount, as the following Municipal State-Aid
streets:
Conaemara Trail fram Trunk Highway 3 to Bacardi Avenue
