On May -15, 1993 Rosemount Officer John •Sammers received an award for being
selected as "Peace Officer of the Year, 1993" by the 3rd District American
Legion, Department of Minnesota. The presentation was made at the District
Convention held in Hutchison, Minnesota. The 3rd District consists o� 10
counties and over 60 Legion posts.
Offiaer Sommers was given the award for a particular incident that occurred
on November 22, 1992.
