The bulk of the office furniture has been installed at the Community
Center. After evaluating the installed cubicles, it has been determined
that this furniture offers no privacy. In order to make these cubicles
functional, additional privacy panels are needed at a cost of $1, 352.90.
One of these cubicles, staffed by part-time Park & Recreation Secretary
Nancy Schrupp, offers inadequate space for department binders. Nancy has
requested a conversion kit of her overhead storage bin at a cost of
$131.55. The total price of these enhancements including tax and delivery
is $1,580.93, from Rosemount Office Systems, makers of the original
furniture. Parks & Recreation Director Dave Bechtold has agreed to fund
half of this expenditure out of his miscellaneous account #101-45100-01-
439. 1. The r�mainder is funded out of the Community Center construction
account # 427-48000-01-580.
The outfitting of furniture for the two executive offices completes the
office expenditures. Existing auxiliary furniture from City Hall will be
utilized in these executive offices. Two work stations, one matching
conference table with chairs, and one storage file, are needed but are not
available from City Hall. I am recommending the purchase of executive
office furniture from Modern Office at a purchase price of $3, 004.23 and a
storage file for $501.48 from Business Essentials. Other prices were
researched through Business Essentials and St. Paul Book and Stationery
catalogues.
