This item consists of approval of plans and specifications for the
145th Street Improvements . A set of Plan.s and Specifications is on
file in my office for your examination.
The feasibility report was accepted by Council on February 1, 1994 .
The Public Hearing was held on March 2, 1994. The next step is to .
approve the plans and specifications and authorize Staff to seek bids
on the project. Staff is recommending a bid opening date of June l,
1994 at 10 : 00 a.m.
Advertisement will be placed in the City' s official newspaper and
Construction Bulletin.
Following the receipt and opening of bids, Staff will come back to
. Council for acceptance of bids and award of the contract on June 7,
1994 .
At this time, almost half of the 42 property owners have provided the
Right of Entry forms to the City. Most residents desire to have the
overhead utility lines buried which has eliminated the need for 7 out
of the 16 original easements required for poles. We are still
pursuing the remaining needed documents and are optimistic about being
able to complete the project this year. If on June 7 we do not have
all of the documents we will have to delay the award of the contraat.
We will provide a verbal update at the Council meeting.
Staff recommends approval as stated.

A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
AND AUTHORIZING ADVERTISEMENT OF BIDS
145TH STREET IMPROVEMENTS
CITY PROJECT #245
WHEREAS, the Consulting Engineers for the City have prepared final plans and
specifications for 145th Street Improvements, Project #245, and such plans and
specifications have been presented to this Council for approval:
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Rosemount,
Minnesota:
1. Such plans and specifications are hereby approved and ordered placed on file in the
office of the City Clerk..
2. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official City newspaper
and in the Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon the making of such
improvements under such approved plans and specifications for City Project #245.
3. The advertisement shall be published in each of said publications at least once not
less than three (3) weeks before the date set for opening bids, shall specify the
work to be done, shall state that bids will be publicly opened on June 1, 1994 at
10:00 0' clock a.m. at the Rosemount City Hall, 2875 145th Street West,
Rosemount, Minnesota and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed
with City representatives and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid
bond or certified check payable to the City of Rosemount for five (5 percent of
the amount of such bid.
