RE: Fireworks
The 1993 Rosemount Leprechaun Days Committee is requesting that the City Council of Rosemount
authorize the release of the funds necessary to purchase fireworks and authorize the necessary signatures
on the contracts and permits for the fireworks. The City annually contributes the money to purchase the
fireworks that are displayed during Leprechaun Days. The amount for the fireworks is estimated to be

RE: LOCATIONS FOR TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES AND CITY MAINTENANCE CREWS TO SET OUT
AND PICK UP
This memo is to request that traffic control devices, such as cones and barricades, be made available as listed
below. There will be streets closed for specific events during the 1994 Leprechaun Days events. The Leprechaun
Days Committee is requesting the city's assistance of providing a city truck with traffic cones and barricades from
July 27 - July 31, 1994.
In 1993 city staff was scheduled to drop off, set up and pick up the cones and barricades. We would like to
request this service be provided again. If not, then at a minimum, that the city staff would drop off the cones and
barricades before the end of their work shift. Please confirm the level of service that can be provided at your

RE: Leprechaun Days Events at City Hall
The Rosemount Leprechaun Days Committee is requesting that the Rosemount City Council consider
allowing the Leprechaun Days Committee to use the City Hall pazking lot for events during Leprechaun
Days. A dance would be held on Friday, July 29, 1994 and Saturday, July 30, 1994.
Food, beverage, games and other types of booths would be set up along with the stage for bands near
the north end of the parking lot. Beer would be set up in the south portion of the lot.
The Leprechaun Days Committee have been in contact with Susan Walsh to determine what needs to be
done to protect the flower garden azea and to provide an open area for the police vehicles and access to
City Hall.
This request is to obtain the City CounciPs approval of the concept of using the lot for this community
event. Sue Walsh will contact the various city department for specific needs on using the area and

RE: Leprechaun Days Covered by City Insurance
The 1994 Rosemount Leprechaun Days Committee is requesting that the Rosemount City Council
consider allowing the Rosemount Leprechaun Days to be covered by the City of Rosemount's insurance
policy,
Since most of the events are being held on city owned property, it would be appropriate to notify the
City's insurance company that community events will be held. In the past the Committee has submitted
a list of the events to the City Insurance Officer, who then turned that list over to the insurance company
as notification that events would be held on city property.
The garden tractor pull event provides it's own insurance coverage. The fireworks package includes a
million dollar policy that covers the City and School District #196.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR ASSISTANCE WITH THE 1994 ROSEMOUNT LEPRECHAUN DAYS.

RE: Donation for July 31, 1994 Entertainment
The Rosemount Leprechaun Days Committee has worked with the Parks and Recreation Department over
the years in jointly sponsoring activities during Leprechaun Days. The Committee wishes to donate
$125.00 to cover some of the cost of entertainment in the parks. This will enable the normal amount of
Sunday night special performances to be scheduled during the summer months.
The Committee will cover the cost of the entertainment for Sunday, July 31, 1994.
Again, the Leprechaun Days Committee wants to continue our joint efforts with the City to provide
community events.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR ASSISTANCE WITH LEPRECHAUN DAYS.
