The City Council of the City of Rosemount requested an update from the Fire
Service Task Force and its mission.

Progress Report
October 7, 1994
Rosemount City Council Members:
Members of the committee have reviewed information relating to Rosemount`s fire delivery
system. This information is contained in meering minutes and attachments provided to the
committee. At our Oct. 6, 1994 meeting motions were passed that a facility is needed on the
west side of the community at the northeast corner of Shannon Farkway and Dodd Blvd.. These
motions passed with six committee members voring yes and none apposed.
At our next meeting on October 27, 1994 the committee will address size and type of facility for
the recommended location. We will also explore funding opportunities for new facilities.
Hopefully a facility recommendation will be provided by the end of December.
In an effort to have aptimum participation by task force members we have continued meeting
on the first and third Thursday of the month but may change that schedule if it will improve
attendance.
