Outfitting a firefighter with bunker gear requires the following equipment
and expenditure:
l. Bunker coat $ 350.00
2 . Bunker pants 250 .00
3 . Helmet 120. 00
4 . Boots 95 . 00
5 . Gloves 32 . 00
b. Belt __ 36 . 00
7. Hood 23 .00
TOTAL - $ 906.00 per firefighter
The 1994 CIP budget provides for �he outfitting of two new firefighters J
{2 x $906 = $1812 .00) and the replacement of boots, gloves, and hoods
($95 + $32 + $23 = $150� for seven current firefighters ($1050} . There is
a total of $3000 budgeted in Account #202-49002-01-581 of the CIP for 1994 .
The fire department is seeking authorization to spend up to $3000 during
1994 for the purchase and replacernent of firefighter gear as is needed.
`RECObIl�tENDED ACTIfJN: Motian to autharize the fire department to spend
up to $3000 for the purchase of firefighting equipment, as is needed
during 1994, with monies to come from CIP Account #202-49402-01-581.
