Dr. Hanson has identified a need for additional land in order to meet the required parking spaces for his 6000 s. f. building. The land desired in addition to the site provided by the port authority is located adjacent to the east property line and north property line of the site. The attached site plan has the additional areas crosshatched. The attached legal description describes the property. The legal description of the additional land to be conveyed still needs to be checked for accuracy by legal counsel and presented to the Park Board August 4 and Utility Commission August 9 for their review and comment. The purpose of bringing this item to you is to identify the additional land necessary and get your endorsement for the conveyance to the port authority prior to the August 16, 1994 public hearing. The purpose of the public hearing is to notify the public and solicit input on the sale of land to Dr. Hanson. In return for the additional land Dr. Hanson is expected to construct the parking and provide the city with an easement allowing public parking for park events etc, during non business hours. He is also expected to install a pedestrian trail from the upper parking area to Erickson Park. The action required on Tuesday is your endorsement of the conveyance and direction to proceed with discussions with Park Board and Utility Commission.
