This item is the public hearing for consideration of the proposed Schwarz Pond Outlet Improvements. The City received a petition from ISD #196 for public improvements due to an auditorium addition to the Rosemount High School and previous problems in the past experienced at the High School with high water levels of Schwarz Pond. � The proposed project would include construction of a lift station and approximately 1 ,200 feet of forcemain. This forcemain would outlet into the Armory/Community Center storm water pond. This pond would outlet through a gravity pipe across Trunk Highway 3 and into Erickson Park Pond area, The total project cost is estimated at 5344,000, which includes approximately 580,000 in easement acquisition costs. Funding for the project will be provided by assessments to the School District (591,000) and the Kelley properties (5125,000) and the Storm Water Utility/Trunk Fund would provide the remaining S 128,000. Brian Bourassa from OSM and myself will provide a brief overview of the project and then open it up to questions from Council and the public. Staff is recommending adoption of the resolution and proceeding with the project as proposed. COUNCIL ACTION: 8 .s CITY OF ROSEMOUNT DAKOTA COUI#I�Y, MINNESOTA RESOWTION 1994 - A RESOLUTION FOR THE APPROVAL AND ORDERING THE PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR: SCHWARZ POND STORM DRAIN OUTLET IMPROVEMENTS CITY PROJECT #259 WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Rosemount ordered a feasibility report for Schwarz Pond Storm Drain Outlet Improvements, City Project #259; and WHEREAS, the City Council has received and accepted the Feasibility Report on July 19, 1994 for City Project #259; and WHEREAS, the City Council ordered and held a public hearing on August 2, 1994 to receive input of this project. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Rosemount hereby orders the improvements of Schwarz Pond Storm Drain Outlet Improvements, City Project #259. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Rosemount orders the preparation of plans and specifications for said improvements of City Project No. 259.
