On August 16 the Port Authority held a public hearing for the sale of land
to Dr. Kurt Walter-Hansen. The purpose of the hearing was to get input
from the public either for or against the land sale. No public testimony
was offered. The lack of comment was considered good.
The next step in the process is to prepare deeds for transfer from city to
Port Authority and then from Port Authority to Dr. Walter-Hansen and his
wife Patricia Walter.
The attached plan shows the area to be transferred from the city to Port
Authority as crosshatch. With your approval tonight we will have Holmes
and Graven prepare the necessary documents. When complete, we will execute
them according to the terms of the Development Agreement between the Port
Authority and Mr. and Mrs. Walter-Hansen.
, RECO1�lENDED ACTION: Motion authorizing staff to proceed with the
preparation and execution of title documents to transfer land to Kurt
Walter-Hansen and Patricia Walter.
