This item requests the sixth and final payment to Busse Construction, Inc. in the amount
of 51-0,836.23 for construction of City Project #197, Valley Oak Pond 0utlet, Phase l.
The originaf contract amount was 5211,800.91. With this final payment the total
construction cost is 5207,211 .21, slightly under the bid amount. There is a two year
warranty on all specified items from this date, September 6, 1994 until September 6,
1996. With this final payment, the City takes over perpetual maintenance of aIF of the
contracted facilities.
Attached is a copy of the Payment Voucher for your information. Staff recommends
approval of this sixth and final payment request.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: MOTION TO APPROVE PAYMENT #6 AND FINA� TC? BUSSE
CONSTRUCTION, INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF 510,836.23 FOR VALLEY OAK POND OUTLET,
PHASE I, CITY PROJECT #197 AND TAKE OVER THE PERPETUAL MAINTENANCE OF THE
STORM SEWER FACILITIES.

Attached is Application for Payment No.6(Final)for the above referenced project. The amount due
this application is$10,836.23 which brings the total amount earned to$207,211.21. This is 98%of
the contract amount.
All work on the project has now been completed. The final payment mostly consists of the 5%
retainage which was previously withheld.
We recommend that the City approve the final payment,buthold the contractor's check until all
close out documents have been submitted. The contractor has been notified of the required close
out documents.
