This item is a request for Council approval of the plans and specifications for the Biscayne
Avenue Improvements, City Project #249. We have a set of plans and specifications on
file in my office for your examination: The Feasibility Report for this project was received
by the City Council on July 19, 1994. The Public Hearing was held on August 2nd.
The next step in the process is to approve the plans and specifications and authorize
Staff to advertise to receive bids for the project. A bid opening date has been set-for
September 30, 1994 at 10:30 a.m.
Advertisement will be placed in the City's official newspaper and the Construction
Bulletin. Following the receipt and opening of bids, Staff will come back to Council for
acceptance of bids.
Staff recommends approval of plans and spec's and authorization to advertise for bids.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: MOTION TO ADOPT A RESOLUTION RECEIVING PLANS AND
SPECIFICATIONS/AUTHORIZING ADVERTISEMENT OF BIDS, BISCAYNE AVENUE STREET &
UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS, CITY PROJECT #249.

RESOLUTION 1994 -
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
AND AUTHORIZING ADVERTISEMENT OF BIDS
BISCAYNE AVENUE STREET AND UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS
CITY PROJECT #249
WHEREAS,the Consulting Engineers for the City have prepared final plans and specifications '
for Biscayne Avenue Street and Utility Improvements, City Project #249, and such plans and
specifications have been presented to this Council for approval:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Rosemount,
Minnesota:
1. Such plans and specifications are hereby approved and ordered placed on file in the
office of the City Clerk.
2. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official City newspaper and
in the Construction Bulfetin an advertisernent for bids upon the making of` such
improvements under such approved plans and specifications for City Project #249.
3. The advertisement shall be published in each of said publications at least once not less
than three �3) weeks before the date set for opening bids, shall specify the work to
be done, shalf state:that bids will be publicly opened on September 30, 1994 at 10:30
o'clock a.m. at Rosemount City Hall in said City and that no bids will be considered
uniess sealed and filed with the City Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit,
cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the City Clerk for five t5%)
percent of the amount of such bid.
ADOPTED this 6th day of September, 1994.
