WALSH AGENDA N��� f' � � ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT �f ATTACHMENT3: SURVEY/PROPOSED 1994 WAGES APPROVED BY: This is a request for Council to consider a wage increase for the city's volunteer firefighters. This is for 1994, and if council approves the increase, it would be retroactive to January 1. In past years, the fire department's annual adjustment paralleled with full-time employees' annual adjustments. A 2.5� increase is the same annual adjustment that union employees received for 1994. An across-the-board 2.5% increase amounts to an increase of $2,492.52. Three percent was budgeted. The reeommended wage increase includes the reallocation of some of these funds where the fire chief and assistant fire chief would receive less than 2.50, and the training officer, captain and lieutenant would receive more than a 2.5� increase. Increases to these officers' salaries are due to expanded responsibilities of these positions. ,I Please refer to the attached spreadsheet. Column A shows current 1993 ' wages, column B shaws an across-the-board 2.5% increase and column C shows the proposed 2.5� reallocated increase.
