During the past ssveral months, I have been working with Cy Smythe and his
assistant putting together a new salary plan for city employees. We are
ready to discuss with the City Council proposed comparable worth points,
salary information, pay equity analyses and types of compensation plans the
Council may want to consider for employees.
Since discussion will be held on proposed salaries and comparable worth
points for union employees, the meeting can be a closed session. We feel
discussion will take at least an hour; and therefore, request that a
meeting be scheduled for Tuesday, September 27, 1994, at 6: 00 p.m.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: MOTION TO SET A CLOSED CITY COUNCIL MEETING FOR
SEPTEMBER 27, 1994, AT 6:00 P.M. AT CITY HALL FOR THE PURPOSE OF
DISCUSSING A NEW SALARY PROGRAM FOR CITY EMPLOYEES.
