Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a special meeting of the City Council of the City of Rosemount
was duly held on Tuesday, September 7, 1994, at 7:30 p.m in the Council Chambers.
Mayor McMenomy called the meeting to order and led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance.
Members of the Council present were Anderson, Wippermann, McMenomy and Busha
Councilmember Staats was absent. Also in attendance were City Administrator Tom Burt,
Administrative Assistant Susa.n Walsh, Public Works Director Bud Osrnundson, Community
Development Director Ron Wasmund, Police Chief Lyle Knutsen, Fire Chief Scott Aker, Parks &
Recreation Director Jim Topitzhofer and Finance Director Jeff May.
City Administrator Tom Burt presented another draft of an operating budget for 1994 and identified
another $25,600 worth of reductions. Burt reviewed other recommended changes from the proposed
budget reviewed by the City Council on August 30, 1994.
Considerable discussion followed between City Council and staff inembers regarding items that could
be reduced or eliminated form the proposed budget. Following this discussion, the City Council
unanimously agreed to a 9.524% increase levy increase.
MOTION by Wippermann to adopt A RESOLIJTION SETTING THE PRELIMINARY 1995
GENERAL FUND OPERATING BUDGET, THE 1995 C.I.P. BUDGET AND THE 1995 LEVY
REQUIRED BY THE CITY OF ROSEMOUNT. Second by Anderson. Ayes: Anderson,
Wippermann, McMenomy, Busho. Nays: None.
MOTION by McMenomy to adjourn. Second by Busho. Ayes: 4. Nays: 0.
