On September 27, 1994 the Planning Commission discussed a zoning
ordinance text amendment, initiated by staff, that would lower the
maximum number of dwelling units allowed in the R-3 Multiple Family
District from 18 to 12 dwelling units per acre. In response to Met
Council policies and objectives in Rosemount' s Comprehensive Guide
Plan, density bonuses to permit up to 18 dwelling units per acre
would be possible if a development proposal significantly superior
to existing standards is presented.
The Planning Commission discussed the amendment in detail and
motioned to recommend that a public hearing be scheduled for City
Council review.
Recommeaded Action: A MOTION to schedule a public hearing for
Tuesday, October 18, 1994 at 8:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as
possible to hear public testimony regarding a zoning ordinance
text amendment modifying the maximum density in the R-3 Multiple
