ATTACI�IENTS: LETTER OF RESIGNATION APPROVED BY:
Doug Stauffer, a member of the Rosemount Fire Department, has submitted his
resignation effective August 29 , 1994 . Doug has been a member of the
Rosemount Fire Department for four years. As is indicated in his letter,
his family commitment will be demanding the ma.jority of his time.
At a regular monthly meeting of the Rosemount Fire Department held on
September 27, 1994, the membership accepted Doug Stauffer' s resignation
with an effective date of August 29 , 1994 .
We look to the city council to ratify this action.
RECOA�IENDED ACTION: Motion to ratify the fire department' s action and
accept Doug Stauffer' s resignation from the fire department effective
August 29 , 1994 .

Dear Chief Aker, _
I have made a tough decision in my life. I must regretfixlly terminate my self from
the fire department. This decision was thought out long and hard, and my family comes
first. I thank the fire department for aIl the skilts and knowledge it has given me, but what
I am most grateful for are the friends that I have made. I will miss the people and the
department very much.
