This item is a request for Council to consider Change Order #1 for
City Project #235, the reconstruction of streets and utilities on
145th Street from Shannon Parkway to Chile Avenue in the amount of
$15,291. 64 .
The contractor had five items wha.ch added to the cantract cost. The
additional work required was to provide:
1 . sanitary sewer service to the north side of 145th Street at
Finnegan' s and Carroll's farm
2 . additional water main valving
3 . additional traffic control signage
4 . clean existing sewer lines and catch basins
S . additional storm sewer
These are i�ems not totally une�cpected on a reconstruction project
through older areas with older utilities.
Staff recommends approval of this change order.

You are directed to make the foliowing changes in the Contract Documents:
Description:
1) Additionai work required to provide sanitary sewer service to existing homes located west of Chile Avenue
and north of 145th Street. The location of the existing utilities prevented service construction as praposed
with the original project.
- Sanitary Sewer Manhole 2 Each @ $1,240.00/Ea. S2,400.00
2) Adciitional work required to cut in 16" gate vaive and box and tie back the existing 16`BFV at Chippendale
Avenue that was requested by the City Staff (indtxiing fittings, retainer gtands and rodding).
- Labor and Materials 1 Lump Sum @ $6,767.20 $6,767.20
3) Additional traffic controi signage that was not required as part of the originai projeet inGuding special detour
signs for exisiing businesses. �
