The City has received a petition from Mr. Paul Vorwerk who is the owner of the property
at 3005 Lower 147th Street in Rosemount. The petition is a request for the City to
vacate a portion of Lower 147th Street.
Attached is a copy of the notice of completion of the vacation of a public street which
was completed by the City Council in January, 1970. At that time, Lower 147th Street
was called Hyland Street and the City vacated the south 27'/2 feet of Hyland Street for
Lot 60 which is where the Totai Station is today. At that time no mention was made of
Lot 61 which is the parcel to the west of the Total Station as'shown on the attached
older plat map. There are three parcels identified with the last three digits of the P.f.D. as
010-61; 020-61; and 030-61 which this vacation would effect. After the vacation, the
remaining street right-of-way is sixty t60) feet. This request is made to clarify the
ownership of the property so that Mr. Vorwerk can sell the property.
To vacate this right-of-way we must hold a public hearing providing the opportunity for
adjacent property owners to make comments. We are recommending that the public
hearing be set for 8:00 p.m. on June 7, 1994. The public notice and mailing list are also
attached.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: MOTION TO ADOPT A RESOLUTION SETTING A PUBLIC
HEARING VACATING A PORTION OF LOWER 147TH STREET.

A RESOLUTION CAUSING A RIGHT-OF-WAY VACATION
WHEREAS, the City Councii at its Regular Meeting of May 17, 1994 set a public hearing
for a right-of-way vacation described as follows, to-wit:
The south twenty-seven and one-half (27'h) feet of Lot Sixty-one (61) of Auditor's
Subdivision No. 1, Township 115, Range 19, in the City of Rosemount, County of
Dakota, Minnesota.
WHEREAS, it appears that it will be for the best interest of the City of Rosemount to vacate
said right-of-way as it does not serve a public purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Public Hearing be scheduled to consider
vacation of said right-of-way to be held on Tuesday, June 7, 1994 at 8:00 o`clock p.m. or
as soon thereafter as possible, in the Council Chambers of the City HaIL

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the City Council of the City of Rosemount will
conduct a public hearing on Tuesday, June 7, 1994, in the Council Chambers of
the City Hall, 2875 145th Street West, beginning at 8:�0 p.m. or as soon
thereafter as possible. The purpose of this hearing is to consider a street vacation
affecting the following legally described property: ,

OLGA STRESL CO�iON BOUNDARY LOT LINE RELOCATION•
DQHEREAS, the City of Rosemount has received a request from Olga
Strese, property owner of 4063 145th Street West, to realign the
property legally described in attached Exhibit A; and
WHEREAS, the resulting lot will be an enlargement of the R-1 Single
Family Residential parcel identified as 4063 145th Street West and
will include property occupied by an existing accessory structure;
and
D�HEREAS, the adjustment of a lot line by the relocation of a common
boundary is an exception to Ordiaaace XVII.86, Section 2 Arr
AMENDMENT TO THE CITY OF ROSEMOUNT SUBDIVISION -0RDINANCE XVI I.4; 'c121d
WHEREAS, the lot line adjustment will not create;a new lot for
residential use.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the City Council of the City of
Rosemount hereby approves the Strese common boundary lot line
relocation subject to:
1) the SO' x 100' remnant parcel is recombined with the Olga
Strese home site creating one parcel; and
2) no subdivision will occur until such time as the parcels are
platted in conformance with Ordiaance XVII.4 City of Rosemount
Subdivision Ordinance.
