On Friday, May 13, 1994 bids for the referenced project were received and read aloud
publicly. Six (6) bids were received and are listed for your review on the attached bid
tabulation. Bids ranged from 5407,510.73 to 5490,716.53.
The low bid received is from Brown & Cris, Inc., 19740 Kenrick Avenue, Lakeville, Mn
55044 in the amount of 5407,510.73.

The engineers estimate was 5458,000 based on 1993 and 1994 construction costs.
The firm of SEH, Inc., engineer for the projects, and Staff recommend the award of
Project No.'s 253 and 254 to Brown & Cris, Inc. in the amo.unt of 5407,510.73.
This is based on the information Staff has available at this tirne. If there is a mistake on
the bids which changes the recornmendation, Staff will provide the correct documents at
the Council meeting.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: MOTFON TO ADOPT A RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND
AWARDING CONTRACT FOR O'LEARY'S HILLS 7TH ADDITION ANQ O'LEARY'S HI�LS 8TH
ADDITION STREET AND UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS, CITY PROJECT NO.'S 253 & 254.

RESOLUTION 1994 -
A RESOLUTION RECEIVING BFDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT
FOR O'LEARY'S HILLS 7TH AND 8TH ADDITIONS STREET AND UTILITY
IMPROVEMENTS
CITY PROJECT 253 AND 254
BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Rosemount, Minnesota, as follows:
1 . All bids on construction of O'Leary's Hills 7th and 8th Additions Street and
Utility Improvements and West Ridge 5th Addition Street and Utility
Improvements are hereby received and tabulated.
2. The bid of Brown & Cris, Inc. in the amount of 5407,510.73 for the
construction of said improvements in accordance with the plans and
� specifications and advertisement for bids is the lowest responsible bid and'shall
be and hereby is accepted. ,
3. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract
with said bidder for the construction of said improvements for and on behalf of
the City of Rosemount. �
4. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all
bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposit of all
successful bidder and the next two lowest bidders shall be retained until a
contract has been executed.
ADOPTED this 17th day of May, 1994.
