At the April 5, 1994 City Council meeting, the City Council considered an
on-sale beer license for Dakota County 40 & 8, who wants to se11 3 .2 beer
at their annual chicken barbecue on July 30 and 31. This matter was tabled
to allow city staff to review and discuss with the applicant control of
beer sales and the pedestrian traffic going between the American Legion and
City Hall.
Dakota County 40 & 8 wi11 be required to ask beer drinkers to drink within
the picnic shelter area or underneath a tent. Lieutenant Dwayne Kuhns,
myself and Councilmember Busho of the Leprechaun Days Committee will
continue working on how to provide for safe pedestrian crossing between the
American Legion and City Hall.
I also plan on writing letters to the city's beer and liquor license
holders reminding them of the huge crowds expected on this weekend and talk
about liquor control issues. �
RECOMMENDED ACTION: MOTION TO APPROVE ISSUANCE OF A TEMPORARY ON-SALE
NONINTOXICATING MALT LIQUOR LICENSE TO DAKOTA COUNTY 40 & 8, VOITURE 1457
FOR JULY 30 AND 31, 1994, SUBJECT TO THE CITY RECEIVING THE REQUIRED
CERTIFICATE OF LIQUOR LIABILITY INSURANCE
