The Port Authority ad hoc promotions sub-committee has looked at the use of a student intern to aid
in completion of some of the more routine tasks associated with the marketing of the business park. At
first the members looked at St. Thomas University for a person but for various reasons found.that
unworkable, eg. delay in getting a person. I then contacted the Local and i3rban Affairs Program at St.
Cloud State University and Eric LeBow was referred to us. Mister LeBow's resume is attached.
I have discussed the work of the Port Authority with Mr. LeBow and in particular the creation of
the business park. He is interested in an internship that would last from March through May. His advisor
Dr. Arthur Mehrhofs has stated that the norm for the host agency is payment to the intern of a $500 stipend
at the completion of the quarter long internship. Mister LeBow would be working 40 hours weekly.

RECOAIlVIENDED ACTION: MOTION to approve payment of a $500.00 stipend for Eric LeBow at
