To reduee the cost of construction far the Rosemount Community Center And
National Guard Armory, efforts were made to secure a donation far the large
scoreboard to be installed in the arena. Mr. David Toombs of First State
Bank of Rosemount has agreed to donate a state of the art scoreboard.
About a year ago, several representatives from �he Rosemount Area Hockey
Association began the laborious task of researching a quality scoreboard
for a reasonable price. R.A.H.A. recommended Daktronics Model H-2813B
scoreboard featuring bar digits, shots on goal panels, and large (24° x
18 ' ) advertising panel . This scoreboard is offered by Aim Electronics for
a price $9 ,206 .93 including sales tax.
In return for the donated scoreboard, s�aff have agreed to display
advertising on the scoreboard for First State Bank, for an arnount of time
to be determined in the near future. The Community Center Commission will
entertain an advertising policy for the Center on August 1.2, 1993 . This
policy will provide guidelines" for staff to administer al1 advertising in
the Center including locations on the scoreboard, ice resurfacing machine,
interior banners, exterior banners, and other.
Ta order the scoreboard and insure proper warranty coverage (5 years) , Aim
Electronics requires a purehase order number from the City. Pa�ment is due
after installation of the scbreboard in mid November. At this time, First
State Bank will pay the City of Rosemount a sum of $9 ,2Q6 . 93 . After this
money is received, a check will be drawn frorn the City �o purchase the
scoreboard.
RECOIrIl�iENDED ACTION: Motion to purchase scoreboard from Aim Electronics
in the amount of $9,206 .93 , to be paid for by a danation for the full
amount by First State Bank.
