The format and content are the same as previous years. This Agreement has worked very well in the past. The limited number of permits the City of Coates issues in a year causes no problem or impact on inspection scheduling. Mayor Karen Mogen has advised me that the Coates City Cauncil recently passed a motion for renewal of the Agxeement. I have reviewed this Agreement with �he Public Warks Director Ron Wasmund and we recommend its approval. RECON�+IENDED ACTION: Motion to approve the Building Inspection Agreement between the City of Rosemount and the City of Coates and authorize the necessary signatures for execution. - COUNCII� ACTION: . . �. CITY OF ROSEMOUNT/CITY QF COATES BU1iDING FNSPECTION AGREEMENT ` This agreement, made and entered into this day of August, 1993 by and between the City of Coates, a municipal corporation, hereinafter referred to as "'Coates", and the City of Rosemount, a municipal corporation, hereinafter referred to as "Rosemount". WHEREAS, each of the parties has, by appropriate action, authorized its officers to enter into this agreement. NOW, THEREFORE, it is mutually agreed by and between the partie� hereto that Rosemount will, upon request by the Coates City Clerk, provide its building inspector to conduct any inspection of a buitding site within the territorial limits of Coates pursuant to the issuance o# a building permit by Coates. IT IS FURTHER AGREED, that in consideration of the services performed by the Rosemount Buiiding Inspector, Coates will pay Rosemount eighty percent (80%) of each building permit fee collected under the City of Coates fee schedule, such payment to be made on a semi-annuai basis commencing September 1, 1993. IT IS FURTHER AGREED, that Coates will indemnify and hold Rasemount and its building inspector harmless from any and all claims, suites, damages, costs, losses, expenses including attorney's fees in any manner resulting or arising as a result of this agreement. IT IS FURTHER AGRffD, that the term of this Agreement shall be for the period commencing September 1, 1993 and ending August 31, 1994, subject to termination by either party upon thirty (30) days written notiee served upon the other party; and that both ` parties shall_ review this agreement starting July 15, 1994, far the purpose of renegatiating it _._ for another term. IN TESTlMONY WHEREOF, each of the parties hereto has caused this agreem�nt to be executed on its bshalf by its respective officers as of the date and year first above written.
