Appointment of Appeals Hearing OfficerCITY OF ROSEMOUNT EXECUTIVE SUMMARY FOR ACTION PORT AUTHORITY COMMISSION MEETING DATE: JULY 6, 1993 AGENDA ITEM: APPOINTMENT OF AN APPEALS AGENDA SECTION: HEARING OFFICER EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR'S RPT PREPARED BY: JOHN MILLER, ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR AGENDA NO. I B. ATTACHMENTS: NONE APP VE BY: V V I indicated to you at the last regular meeting of the port authority that Lindquist and Vennum had advised us that an appeal from A and G Autobody was imminent. The appeal, the second from A and G, evidently concerns the commissioners' finding that the board will pay actual moving expenses only upon submittal of receipts. As you will recall, Ron Wasmund, the city's public works director resigned his appointment to avoid any possible conflicts of interest. The board needs to appoint a replacement. At Executive Director Steve Jilk's recommendation I contacted Jack Clinton, an attorney from Cottage Grove. Mr. Clinton is familiar with Rosemount having conducted the investigation of city administrative and financial activities completed a couple of years ago. Clinton indicated a willingness to serve as the port authority's appeals hearing officer. RECOMMFNDED ACTION: Motion to appoint Jack Clinton, 8750 - 90th Street South, Cottage Grove, MN 55016 as the appeals hearing officer for the Rosemount Port Authority. PORT AUTHORITY ACTION:
